Sculpting the Figure

A rare chance to spend a full day sculpting a life model through a variety of short and long poses. The morning will provide a chance to work on some quick 3D poses with the afternoon allowing for longer focused studies under the guidance of figurative artist, Sandra Robinson.

Suitable for anyone who is interested in working directly from the model and who ideally has some experience working with clay.

Air-drying clay and tools will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own wax or traditional clay to work with and a bisque firing can be arranged. However, the tutor can request for pieces to be hollowed and returned before kiln firing if she deems it necessary.

Facilitated by Sandra Robinson MA[RCA]

This workshop is accompanies Sandra Robinson's exhibition: Balancing Act showing in the Sunburst Gallery, Ards Arts Centre, 3 - 26 October.
