Friday Night Live: Errol Walsh & Ed Deane with Joe Murray

Errol Walsh will be joined by friends (including Joe Murray) on bass and harmonies, a trio offering a selection of country, blues and folk steeped in the Americana tradition – expect some fine picking and seasoned vocals and harmonies from this experienced trio.

Errol Walsh, who hails from the Glens of Antrim, is an award winning singer songwriter who has fronted revered bands such as Rodeo, Stagalee, Honky Tonk Heroes, Tender Mercies and many others. Over the years he has worked in Canada, Australia, America, and throughout Europe.

Ed Deane: Born in Dublin, Ed started playing acoustic blues and slide guitar while still at school. In recent years Ed has recorded on two albums with Bap Kennedy, the Belfast songwriter. The second of these, ‘The Big Picture’, was recorded in Van Morrison’s studio. He has toured extensively with Bap, and together they have toured with Van Morrison, both as members of a band and as a duo.

Over the years Ed has toured America, Europe and India and recorded and played live gigs with Shane MacGowan, and recorded with Chris and Mick Jagger.
