Experimental Processes

This exhibition is part of the Linen Biennale Northern Ireland 2018.

For this exhibition, printmaker Lucy Turner will be collaborating with the writing group 'Words for Castle Ward' inspired by the ancient Japanese Shibori fabric processes.

Once immersed in dye and unbound, the fabric not only holds the pattern, but also retains a slight memory of the folds. These unique patterns will be over printed with words to create a series of hand printed panels.

In this exhibition, we walk with poet’s reminiscences, mindfulness and eunoia.  These linen panels become relics of incidental beauty; a new place where the investigation of words and language are imbued with the belief that a landscape abstracted harmonises with the written word.
