Workshops for Local Community Groups

Positive Pottery

Monday’s 5pm – 6.30pm

Ards Arts Centre

Research shows that participating in pottery workshops can have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing. The very tactile nature of pottery helps participants to relax and de-stress, calming the heartbeat and focusing the mind on the creative process.

The positive pottery workshops are facilitated by ceramicist Sandra Robinson and feedback from our pilot project with International Women in North Down was extremely positive:

“I found the experience very grounding and calming”

“So therapeutic and enjoyable for me”

“It was a great way to de-stress”

If you are a community group (large or small) that could really benefit from a 6 week course in pottery then please send a short email expressing your interest to amy.mckelvey@ardsandnorthdown.gov.uk
