Visual Artist Cafe: Working With Digital Images

This is a partnership project between Ards and North Down Borough Council and Visual Artists Ireland. Identifying a need amongst the arts community this programme has been devised to support professional practicing artists and crafts people to develop their careers. We are pleased to be able to bring this programme to you, however it is essential to book via the Visual Artists Ireland website to secure your place:

The session will demonstrate how to prepare digital image files looking at two distinct areas: file formatting and file storage/cataloguing.  How to prepare digital image files for a range of uses such as: online (website, email, online submissions), presentations (digital projection) and for printing (catalogues, books and prints).

The workshop will be facilitated by Mervyn Smyth, a photographer with a background in photo-journalism and community education, and an early member of Belfast Exposed.
