ENROLMENT DAY - Enrolments will be taken in person or by telephone on 028 9181 0803, on Wednesday 10 May 2017 between 9am and 5pm.*

Please note: ALL adult class and workshop fees are payable in full on enrolment and are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled by Ards Arts Centre.  Participants will be required to bring their own materials unless otherwise stated.

We make a decision on whether to run a course one week before the start date. Please help us to help you by enrolling promptly.

Classes commence the week beginning 22 May 2017 and will run for 6 weeks unless otherwise stated.

Lee Boyd will help you explore the mediums, techniques and styles of drawing, ways of looking and how to capture mark making that builds your confidence and enjoyment of the process of drawing.

In this hands-on figurative ceramic workshop, learn the various hand-building methods including coiling, slab-building and paperclay.

These classes will centre around building skills in watercolour painting as well as experimenting with the use of inks.

This is a great opportunity to explore a variety of bead jewellery making techniques.  

During these classes we will focus on learning and developing acrylic and oil painting techniques.

Join artist, Lauren Scott and create your own birds & animals using traditional textile techniques in a modern way.

Whether you have just bought yourself a new guitar or are looking to improve upon your playing skills, Darren can teach you the skills to make you a better player.

If you enjoy sketching and using watercolours, you can improve your skills and experiment using simple yet effective pen and wash techniques.

Learn the timeless craft of patch-working with the help of Gillian Barr

Due to popular demand, an evening class of illustration with Bernice Anderson has been added.

Through a series of exercises the aim is to improve ways of seeing, develop mark making skills, improve decision making and above all encourage each unique and individual style.

Learn the different styles of Calligraphy with artist Jacquie Brachi

Aimed at a beginner level, this class is perfect for anyone who has a digital camera and wants to learn to get the best from it.

We will be drawing inspiration from all things colourful and carnival!

Suitable for ages 7 - 12 years.
Kids will enjoy creating clay sculptures inspired by local nature.

Try your hand at exploring what you can do and how to create a self-portrait, gain some basic tips and help develop skills you may already have in a relaxed and informal class.
