Cuan Craic Drama Group are putting out a call for new members to join them for their weekly workshops this winter which begin on Wednesday, 8 February.

If you are aged 50 and over, and would like to meet new people, learn new skills and have a bit of craic, you'll be warmly welcomed on Wednesday's, 2-4pm at Maxwell's Courtyard, Kircubbin.

Cuan Craic Drama Group was set up up in 2011 as an opportunity for older people in the Ards Peninsula to engage in drama and storytelling activities.

Facilitated by local actor Stephen Beggs, the group have undertaken some exciting projects including the creation of several radio dramas, live performance and even a short documentary.

As the group begin a new season of workshops, they are calling for new people to come and join the workshops. Absolutely no experience is necessary for the workshops, which have an emphasis on getting together, meeting new people and having some fun.

While the workshops are designed for people aged 50 and over, everyone is welcome. If you would like further information, contact Ards Arts Centre on 028 9181 0803.

This initiative is run through the Arts Service of Ards and North Down Borough Council with the support of Peninsula Healthy Living.
